Measured before. Measured after.
Understanding is assessed before the work begins and again afterward, against the same questions. Participants rate the programs 4.9 out of 5 on average.
Twenty years in finance made me skeptical of training that cannot show its effect.
Participants show an average increase of around 60% between the start of a program and the end. People who arrived unable to follow a set of numbers leave able to argue a case built on them.
The largest gains come from those who began with the least background, which is the point.
Two things come up every time
Clarity. Ideas people had avoided for years stop being intimidating. They leave with language they can use, and the confidence to join conversations they used to sit out of.
Wanting more of it. Across programs and organizations, the most consistent response is that participants would do it again. Nobody says that out of politeness.
